Elective Courses for International Students

The elective  training courses  has been designed in various pattern from 2 weeks to 8 weeks, flexible seasons during year (from spring to winter), and multi-disciplinary fields with at least 2 weeks in one specialty.  Specialty departments supply training courses including  an   orientation and introduction in the clinical wards, small discussion groups and team works for solving problems in the bed-sides, clinical practices under UMP faculty members’ supervision and self-education.

The elective training course helps foreign students understanding common healthcare problems in the Southern of Vietnam and improving their communication, and clinical skills during their internship. Additionally, foreign students have an opportunity to live in intercultural with Vietnamese medical students and to explore society and culture in Vietnam..

Required Application Documents

International Students have to prepare these following documents and submit directly to the Office of International Relations at least 6 weeks prior to the beginning of the elective training course:

  1. A complete Application Form (as attached);
  2. A recommendation letter from applicant’s academic supervisor in his university/institution;
  3. A brief Curriculum Vitae;
  4. A copy of the applicant’s passport (the page containing personal information and photograph);
